Timber Ridge students – Nicolette and Chris demonstrated to the NSSEO Governing Board how virtual reality (VR) works in the classroom.
With the support of Pam Guio, Innovative Learning Coach and Krista Snowbeck, Timber Ridge teacher the students demonstrated how virtual reality supports the curriculum and differentiated learning.
Virtual Reality (VR) is a new opportunity for students at Timber Ridge. Through the use of VR students are immediately engaged and able to visit and explore new and exciting places. It provides a panoramic view of sites that can be explored through mobile devices and VR goggles allowing students to experience hands on active learning.
“Virtual reality helped us to see what was on Mars.” – Nicolette
“It gives the person a very lifelike experience so they aren’t just learning it, they’re experiencing it.” – Chris
