David Jefferson started at SLOEC as an intern 19 years ago.  Through his positions as intern, outdoor education assistant and now outdoor education teacher, Dave has worked with every NSSEO program at all ability and age levels. Dave has provided many unique and exceptional experiences for NSSEO staff and students beyond their typical day. Programs include Miner TAP students coming to learn custodial and maintenance jobs.  This year he conducted a TAP overnight and taught the students to lead lessons with younger students.

It is with deep appreciation that we recognize Judy Hardman and her family and the impact their efforts have had on Kirk School, on NSSEO and, most importantly, on the lives of so many students and families over the past 40 years.  Judy's son, Jack Hardman was one of the first students to attend Kirk School.  He began at age 6 in 1969 and remained at Kirk until he graduated in 1983.  Jack's twin brother, Jim, was one of this year's NSSEO Opening Day speakers as part of our celebration of "40 Years of Progress".

We would like to share with you how we can continue to work together to provide your child with a healthy and safe learning environment.
