Last Thursday @KirkSchoolNSSEO had a small reading group full of Kirk Cub alumni together to decorate pumpkins, eat pizza, share laughs and read their favorite books. What an amazing way to start off the halloween celebrations!!
Reading with nurse Wendy began at the beginning of ESY 2020 during Covid. It has continued ever since. Nurse Wendy has read over 50 books over the years. The group has become a family of sorts. We have gone through good times and bad. Hospitalizations and sadly a passing of one of our alumni. Jessica Kirshner. She is so missed! The purple shirts were given to the group at an earlier gathering by The Kirshners over the summer. Nurse Wendy reads 5 nights a week on zoom to Kirk Alumni and current students.
