Illinois ABLE Account Program
Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, Illinois school districts are required to provide informational materials about the Illinois Achieving a Better Life Experience Account Program, also known as IL ABLE. This includes making IL ABLE information available on district websites.
IL ABLE accounts are savings and investment accounts for eligible individuals with disabilities and their families. These accounts can help individuals save for qualified disability expenses while preserving certain public benefits.
IL ABLE Resources
Questions about IL ABLE accounts should be directed to IL ABLE or a qualified financial professional. NSSEO provides these links as informational resources for families.
