Gavin McGinn
Dear NSSEO Community:
We are pleased to announce that Gavin McGinn, who has been an invaluable asset as the Director of Business Services at NSSEO since July 2018, will be NSSEO’s Assistant Superintendent of Business Services starting July 1, 2024. This role became available after Julie Jilek announced her retirement last year after serving as NSSEO’s Assistant Superintendent of Business Services for the past 17 years.
During his tenure as Director of Business Services, Gavin played a pivotal role in the creation of NSSEO’s annual budget, ensuring a meticulously planned financial roadmap for our district’s success. His adeptness in overseeing the yearly audit has further reinforced our commitment to transparency and accountability. Gavin’s leadership in managing the day-to-day financial operations has been instrumental in maintaining the fiscal stability of our organization.
Before joining NSSEO, Gavin served as the Accounting Coordinator at Mount Prospect School District 57 for three years, where he honed his skills in financial coordination and strategic planning. His early experiences of four years in Lincolnwood School District 74, where he served as both a payroll coordinator and a classroom aide, has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of various facets within the educational setting.
