One of the most cherished holiday traditions at NSSEO is the Timber Ridge Holiday Gift Store, a special event that turns a simple shopping experience into a meaningful lesson in generosity and connection. During the event, each student has the opportunity to browse the store and thoughtfully select two gifts, not for themselves, but for people they care about. This intentional focus on giving allows students to practice decision-making, empathy, and the joy that comes from thinking of others.
To make the experience even more special, members of the NSSEO Central Office team are invited to Timber Ridge to support students as they wrap their carefully chosen gifts. Together, students and staff work side by side, sharing conversations, laughter, and pride as each present is wrapped and prepared for the holidays. The Gift Store is a beautiful reflection of the values that define NSSEO, highlighting kindness, independence, and the strong sense of community that connects our schools and staff.
