Maximus Dominguez: STEP Shining Star

Maximus Dominguez: STEP Shining Star

Maximus Dominguez is an exemplary student at NSSEO and District 214 who’s successful path in employment is a shining example for all our students and staff, and a perfect example of what it means to be an NSSEO Shining Star. Maximus is a 21 year old student in district 214 LIFE transition program. In 2019 he was recommended by the Wheeling High School case manager to start work based learning. The next year Maximus was in the ProStart class at Buffalo Grove with 1:1 support. Now, as we all know covid comes in to delay many of our timelines of life, but not Maximus. He keeps on working and moving forward. Next up is his internship at Fratos Culinary Kitchen in Schaumburg. His skillset and confidence are growing rapidly and in a handful of months he lands a job at Lou Malnati’s where he currently works on the phones and as a food runner. Maximus works 4 days a week, even working a double shift on Thursday’s to assist with food running to help relieve some pressure during the evening rush.

All of the people who have supported and helped Maximus are all his biggest cheerleaders and are so unbelievably proud of what he has been able to accomplish and all of us are so excited to see what he does next. Congratulations Maximus on being our NSSEO Shining Star, truly deserving!
