NSSEO hosted our Winter Wellness Event at Timber Ridge School on January 17th and not only was it a ton of fun, it was a huge success. The foyer and hallway in front of Timber Ridge’s new gym was filled with vendors for our staff to get a variety of assistance in their physical, mental and financial wellness. After allowing ample time for our vendors and staff we got right into a Pickleball tournament. It was a lot of people's first time playing Pickleball so it may not have gotten as competitive as a usual tournament, but there was a lot of intense volleying and learning going on and that ultimately led to a majority of players falling in love with the new sport of Pickleball. Fun and laughter is usually the best first impression, but we may have to learn some more of the rules at the next event! As usually at our NSSEO Wellness Events we end our time together by raffling off a variety of gifts and gift cards and our main raffle winner walked away with their very own brand new setup of Pickleball so they can play with all of their friends and family just as soon as we make it through the winter.
