On January 24th NSSEO recieved a gracious donation to support Kirk's Micro Businesses. It all came from a newly formed collaborative partnership with the Mt. Prospect Chamber of Commerce. In August of 2023, students from NSSEO’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing program signed the National Anthem at the Village of Mount Prospect's Celebration of Cultures. NSSEO also helped to sponsor the Chamber’s Oktoberfest/Fall Fest Special Needs Hour for the second year in September 2023.
NSSEO attended the Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing in September 2023 to introduce our programs to the members of the Chamber and provide information about Kirk School’s Micro Businesses. The Mt. Prospect Chamber of Commerce donated $3,000 from the golf outing proceeds to support Mini Grants to Kirk School Micro Businesses. NSSEO is extremely grateful for Mt. Prospect Chamber of Commerce’s generous support and looks forward to building this partnership and expanding opportunities for students with disabilities.
