Mini-Grants

The NSSEO Foundation proudly supports a wide range of initiatives that enrich the lives of students, families, and staff that are not funded through the regular budget process. By supporting  staff mini-grants with an emphasis on after school opportunities, classroom-extension opportunities and transition activities, the NSSEO Foundation provides educational tools and opportunities that foster student growth and success.  Additionally, the NSSEO Foundation supports the Parent Education Resource Center, Holiday Giving, Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, and the Sunrise Lake Fall and Winter Festivals, helping to create meaningful experiences and essential resources while building community partnerships.

NSSEO staff are invited to apply for NSSEO Foundation, Inc. Mini-Grants. Grants are open to certified and licensed staff, or professional teams including paraprofessionals. Priority will be given to projects that reflect research based strategies and techniques. Mini-grants are awarded up to $2,500 for projects that enhance the normal program budget supports, and may not supplant existing budgetary items. Services must be provided to special education students served by Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization. The NSSEO Foundation, Inc. is always willing to consider larger grants on an individual basis throughout the year when proposed by program administration.
