We Can Do It

Community Service Days

The first week of May each year students in Illinois who are deaf, hard of hearing, or visually impaired participate in community service projects.

Student Leadership Days

Students from Deaf/ Hard of Hearing high school programs are nominated for participation in Student Leadership Day, sponsored by Illinois Service Resource Center. Students are nominated for their demonstration of leadership or their leadership potential.

Book Club

Social Emotional Learning Book Club

ISRC facilitates a statewide social emotional book club for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or visually impaired. Students receive a copy of the book and participate in activities in their classroom. Then, classrooms participate in a statewide virtual event to share their activities.

SEED Conference

Search Empower Experience Deaf

ISRC sponsors a conference for high school students that includes a keynote speaker and breakout sessions with a focus on planting the seeds to prepare for life after high school.
